Scientific Angler's SYSTEM 2 reels are the finest you can get for the money. The most important feature I look for in a reel is whether or not the DRAG is is a good, solid drag, or some fluff that does no good at holding fish. The DRAG here is Excellent. It is strong enough to stop charging Pike, but it also finely tunes so that you can release line at precisely the pressure you desire. I love these reels. I own several of them in various line weights from 6 to 10.
